NOTICE OF RIGHT TO INSPECT PUBLIC RECORDS

 

Central Wisconsin Airport is owned by Marathon and Portage Counties. The airport is operated by a seven-member board comprised of representatives from both Counties. The Central Wisconsin Joint Airport Board of Marathon and Portage Counties have continuously operated the airport since 1969.

The position within this Department that constitutes a local public office is the Airport Director.
 

Except as otherwise provided by law, any requester has the right to inspect any record or document maintained by Central Wisconsin Airport. Any requester has the right to make or receive a copy of a record which appears in written form. It is the policy of this Department to provide photocopies of records to a requestor for the costs set forth below.
 

Some records maintained by Central Wisconsin Airport may not be subject to disclosure because of confidentiality requirements or operation of other applicable laws. Any denial of disclosure will specify the reason for denial.

Subject to the above statements, public records are available in this office for inspection and copying as follows:
    

• LOCATION:  Central Wisconsin Airport, 100 CWA Drive, Suite 227, Mosinee, WI 54455

 

• LEGAL CUSTODIAN:  Brian Grefe, Airport Director

 

• TIME OF REQUESTS:  Requests may be made during regular office hours Monday through Friday if the day is not otherwise a legal holiday.

 

• COST:  An authority may impose a fee upon the requester of a copy of a record which may not exceed the actual, necessary and direct cost of reproduction and transcription of the record, unless a fee is otherwise specifically established or authorized to be established by law. 
   

Requests may be made verbally, in writing, or electronically. The requester is not required to identify his or her identity or the reason for requesting public records.

If a requester objects to a denial of access, the requestor may request the Corporation Counsel to review the request for access. The requester may also pursue legal action as authorized by law pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.37.
